Day 1 Listvyanka
Meet at the railway station accompanied by our English-speaking guide. On the way to Listvyanka visit an open-air wooden architecture museum Taltsy. In the museum you'll see the settlements of indigenous Siberian people of the 17th-20th centuries. Some of the buildings presented in the museum were brought there from the villages that were flooded after building a dam in Irkutsk. Transfer to the village situated only 60km away from Irkutsk - Listvyanka. Enjoy your visit to a local 19th century wooden St.Nicolas church and a local fish market where you'll see a great variety of fish. Check-in to a hotel. Free time. Overnight.
Day 2 Listvyanka (B)
Breakfast. Bus tour around Listvyanka. Guided tour to a local Baikal museum that has a set of aquariums. There is one with the only mammal representative, the Baikal Seal, in it. Take a chairlift to the view point, where you'll get a chance to take beautiful panoramic pictures of Lake Baikal and the Angara River from above. Enjoy a 1-hour ride on the Lake Baikal ice by hovercraft. You'll ride along the shore of Lake Baikal, one of the most mysterious and beautiful places in the world and see the beautiful landscapes and surroundings covered with ice and snow. Start your trip from the main pier of Listvyanka and go to the source of the Angara River where ice of Lake Baikal meets with the outflowing water. Free time. Overnight.
Day 3 Listvyanka (B)
Free day to sleep in and be lazy or try some truly Siberian entertainment like dog-sledding and
snowmobiling. You'll see many beautiful sculptures made of transparently clear ice of Lake Baikal.
Overnight.
Day 4 Ust-Orda (B, L)
Breakfast. A car trip to Ust-Orda to meet the Shaman and learn about the Buryat nation. The Shaman will show you the rituals and for a moment will let you become a part of it. Visit to the museum of the Buryats - the native Siberians. Lunch with traditional Buryat cuisine. Return to Irkutsk. Free time. Overnight.
Day 5 Irkutsk (B)
Breakfast. Enjoy a 2-hour city tour by car. It starts at the historical part of the city: Epiphany Cathedral, the oldest stone-structure Church of our Saviour and the only Catholic Cathedral in Irkutsk, Polish Roman Catholic Church. The tour leads you through the Kirov Square and circus. You'll have a ride along the main street of Irkutsk, the Karl Marks Street, to get to the Angara River embankment, where you'll see the monument to Alexander III. Complete the tour with the visit to the district of historic wooden buildings. Transfer back to the hotel. Free time. Overnight.
Day 6 Irkutsk (B)
Breakfast. Check-out from the hotel. End of the program.
